Theme-based activities are excellent for cultivating fun and variety in therapy. Use this activity to focus on following directions, attention (sustained and alternating), left neglect, receptive/expressive language, etc. As always review the activity prior to conducting it in your therapy session and make the necessary changes so it is at an appropriate level for your patient. Consult the assistance of an OT or PT for the tasks that require physical exertion, as this is an activity you can use for co-treatment when appropriate. Omit the physical activities if this is being used for an individual session.
