Use this activity for increasing word retrieval skills with your patients. By providing the patient with the first part of the word both by sound (phonological cue) and in print (grapheme cue) it can assist with repairing an anomic error. Once your patient becomes familiar with this approach, try increasing the complexity by giving a time frame to list the words (i.e., name 12 words in 1 minute) and/or removing part of the grapheme and phonological cue (provided for you in this activity).
