This activity is intended for individuals with impaired recall who may press a call button and forget why. Select the board that is most appropriate for your patient. Laminate. Instruct the patient to circle what they need immediately after pressing the call button. Provide patient with dry erase marker. Use Velcro to keep dry erase marker attached to board (see suggested location). Consider spaced-retrieval therapy and/or additional graphic cues to train your patient. Includes 5 boards (3 with varying levels, 2 blank with picture bank for customization).

This is a neat way to ensure patient remembers why he/she pushed call light. The patient I tried this with didn't use it, but that was just that patient, I think. I wish I could have tried this with a different patient that I no longer am working with as I think it would be perfect for that patient.
