This is the time of year when I start thinking about CEUs, how many I have so far for the year and how many I’ve got left to acquire (and which topics I want to focus on). There are so many courses still on my wishlist. The more I browse topics and providers, the more I want to know, which is the exciting part of continuing education.
If you’re looking for a practical course, Megan, Sara, and I presented with SpeechTherapyPD.com on Implementing Adaptive Equipment for Dysphagia in Skilled Nursing Facilities. We discussed regulations pertaining to adaptive equipment use (and provided some talking points for advocating for AE in your facilities), and also gave practical advice about a selection of adaptive pieces. This is one of my favorite topics because adaptive equipment was so foreign to me when I first started practicing. I wish I knew these things when I first started, and I’m so happy to be a part of bringing that information to someone who might need it.
In partnering with SpeechTherapyPD.com, we've learned what a fantastic resource it is. There are so many courses I'm looking forward to taking. If you have not checked into this as an option for CEUs, I encourage you to, you will not be disappointed with the selection! Here's to continued success with your patients, Mandi
